Will I need a passport to travel to the wedding?

Yes, you will need a passport book that is currently valid for the wedding. Passport cards will not work.

Is San MIguel de Allende safe?

San Miguel de Allende is widely considered one of the safest cities in Mexico. Benefiting from a robust tourism industry and a large, established expatriate community, the historic downtown is well-policed and secure! It recently was named the No. 1 "Best City in the World" by Travel + Leisure!

Do I need to bring pesos?

No, there are ATM's all over the city and most everyone takes the American dollar as well as credit card.

What airport is the best to fly into?

There are two great options for airports, Guanajuato International Airport (BJX) and Querétaro International Airport (QRO). There are direct flights from all major cities in Texas. QRO is the closer of the two and the one we would recommend!

How will I get from the airport to San Miguel de Allende?

On travel section I have included popular transport options from QRO and BJX. We also have contacts within San Miguel that will be available pre and post wedding for private transport. Please reach out to Ty or I for contact information!

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Yes, there will be a welcome party Friday November 13. Invitations will be sent providing more information!

Will there be transportation from the wedding ceremony to the reception?

No, the reception is an 10 minute walk from the church. However, San Miguel has plenty of options for transportation including taxi and uber for those that prefer not to walk.

Is San Miguel a walking friendly city?

Yes! The city is small, safe, and full of beautiful surprises around every corner. Although its easy to navigate by foot the streets are cobblestone and can be difficult to manage with the wrong shoe. Girls, be mindful of heel choices and maybe bring a backup pair for walking through the city during leisure. I definitely recommend a platform heel for the chicas!

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Refer to our travel section for hotel recommendations! With the city's population being 30% expats Airbnb's are super popular! An affordable option for larger groups or those who prefer it. When booking with Airbnb, look for locations near Centro!

What is the weather like in November?

November in San Miguel de Allende brings ideal dry season weather, featuring comfortably warm days and crisp, cool nights. Average highs range from 74-76 with lows dropping between 45-47.

Are kids allowed to the Wedding?

Even though we love children this is an adult only destination wedding. We kindly ask you do not bring them.
